Humanoid robots in future

Humanoids robots in future are the robots shaped like humans, specifically engineered to replicate the physical characteristics and actions of the humans.

Humanoid robots uses

  • Research tools in several scientific areas
  • To aid people with physical disabilities and to create more prosthetics.
  • Robotic nurses, especially for older people who need extra care.
  • Humanoids can also work in jobs that follow specific procedures, like being receptionists or working on car assembly lines or waiter.
  • Stuntronics are humanoid robots that function as stunt doubles, built to showcase realistic, free-moving, and dynamic actions.

Recently a humanoid manufacturing company based in California unveiled its humanoid robot Figure 01. At a BMW manufacturing plant, a humanoid robot has been observed working on the factory floor.

After seven months company released a video of its humanoid robot working in BMW Spartanburg’s plant as company signed an MoU with BMW manufacturing Co. to deploy it’s humanoid robots in future for automotive manufacturing plants.

Features

Figure 01 Humanoid robot has some special features and characteristics that make it one of the best humanoid robots in future. Video shows Figure 01 is autonomous humanoid ai robot and it is completely mapped on neural network. It has AI driven vision models.

In April, the company disclosed that Figure 01 could engage in complete conversations with individuals, made possible by the advanced visual and language intelligence from OpenAI models.

Figure AI has just launched its new humanoid robot, Figure 02, which is said to be the best-performing humanoid robot available. This robot merges the flexibility of the human body with cutting-edge artificial intelligence, allowing it to handle various tasks in business settings and, soon, in households as well.

Measuring 5’6” and weighing 70kg, Figure 02 is more streamlined than its predecessor. The key feature is the removal of external cables for testing and repairs, with the cables now seamlessly integrated into the limbs.

Figure 02 outshines Figure 01 in computational and AI skills, having three times the power. This extra capability lets it perform tasks independently, like talking back and understanding visual information.

Features

  1. Speech to speech : Figure 02 can have conversations with people using its built-in microphones and speakers, which are linked to special AI models developed in collaboration with OpenAI.
  2. On board VLM : Figure 02 features a built-in vision language model that allows for quick and intuitive visual reasoning using robot cameras.
  3. Integrated Cabling : The adoption of integrated cabling for power and compute communication supports the discreet arrangement of wires, increases reliability, and promotes a more streamlined packaging design.
  4. Cameras: Figure 02 interprets and comprehends the physical environment utilizing its AI-enhanced vision system, which is equipped with six integrated RGB cameras.
  5. Human sized hands : The newest human-sized hands have 16 different ways to move and are as strong as a real human’s hands, allowing them to do many tasks that people can do.
  6. CPU : Figure 02 offers three times more computing power and AI capabilities right on the device than the last version. This means it can handle real-life AI jobs all by itself without needing any help.

Recently, Figure 02 tested out its new abilities at BMW Manufacturing. They focused on collecting data with AI and training for various scenarios.
